Thuringer Meats opened to Arlington Heights shoppers in 1973 with the mission of spreading our love of incredible food and the finest ingredients as widely as possible. We couldn’t have asked for a better reception. Since we first started operating, we’ve developed a loyal fan base that it just as particular about good food as we are! OUR HISTORY
est. 1973
Owner, Wally Tenhoopen was first introduced to the butcher trade over 50 years ago. Working as a bagger in a local Arlington Heights grocery, he was asked one day to help the meat department finish bagging some chickens. From there grew his passion as a butcher. The rest is history!

Its niche location is also part of its charm. Thuringer Meats may be in an industrial part of town, but loyal customers always know where to find the best meats around!

Thuringer Meats is always looking for new recipes and products to add to it's wide variety of goods. Our homemade sausages and burgers attract even the most distinguished taste buds.
